It comes off easilly enough if you have RGS or Jota 120 type inlet rubbers/manifolds (easiest is to undo the two allen bolts on the rev counter drive, this also has the advantage of retaining the loose spade to sqaure cable adapter which is inside the outer cable, at that end, and gets lost easilly.
it is harder on the 180's with a solid mount and very often helps if you remove the top of the centre carb, not strictly need, but a massive help if you are removing the bank of carbs, which you should, remove themn first, if it's time to get the cam cover off, then its also time to clean out the carbs, and check them internally.
