I've heard stories about modern twins in Zane chassis, BMW or Yamaha for example, but I have never seen one. Has it actually been done (other than the electric race bike)?

Why would you like to do that?
In the Netherlands there is an example of a ‘650’ with a Kawasaki GPZ500 twin. I don’t have pictures.
Also there was a Guy with an Folan V-twin. Very fast but that engine was not build last. Laverdatwin does it better
. Hé didn’t need a fronttire because it was always in the air.

There is a trellis framed racer with an ER6 engine fitted that appeared at the MGP a couple of times in the Supertwins.

That is absolutely fantastic and must have taken a huge amount of time and energy. I can't open the link detailing the build, just the general pics of the work he does. It would be interesting to compare it to the Bimota that used the same engine.

Now THAT is exactly the sort of thing I'd want to do with a Zane - what a great choice to the motor - and so beautifully executed - tidy as!
