Montjuic or Alpino cylinder head

A complete one with valves, guides and seats in good condition would be nice but essentially I need a bare cylinder head that has no cracks, isn?t twisted and doesn?t have any fins broken off. I?ve got good valves, guides, seats and seals which I can fit in a day but my cylinder head is best described as tired.

The other option is a recommendation of somewhere (preferably in the UK) that would weld up a cracked area between one spark plug bore and 2 exhaust valve seats and then do the necessary machining of oversized valve seat inserts.

That was my first port of call but he isn?t answering either email or phone attempts to contact him. I?ll be trying again but have to try other options.

Well it?s job done. We?ve agreed a price for what looks to be a much nicer example of a  cylinder head than mine so the drama is over in under 12 hours.

I?v got NOS 350 cylinder heads, but not sure how much work, if even possible, to make work on larger bore sizes.

The valves are obviously bigger on the 500 but machining the head to take larger valve seats wouldn?t be too difficult, it?d be changes to the combustion chamber that?d be a bit problematic for someone like me to deal with, especially with high compression pistons.

I'm not certain that there's a big difference between 350 and 500 cylinder heads castings.
A lot of people have done the conversion.
I only found 1 reference in the parts list.
