Surely been asked before but a search on here hasn't been fully conclusive. Am I right in assuming that the orange is either RAL 2008 or 2010? I'm not sure about the silver which is used in the wheels. Can some kind soul advise please. Thanks

Hi,

I painted my racer in RAL 2008 and it looked a bit milky to me. I THINK the correct colour is 2009.

My bike is now in 2004 which has a lot more POP but then again it is a race bike.

Robin.  ;)

Ral 2008 matched the paint on my fuel tank.
The gel coat orange of the seat unit has quite a bit of variety from top to bottom and the original side panels are a slightly different shade again.

Pick one you are happy with, it will change as it ages anyway. :D

I have used RAL 2008 and RAL 2010.
2008 looks too washed out, and the 2010 looks best.

Thanks Grant. I gather RAL 2010 is the SFC orange. Now for wheels. I usually get my wheels powder coated but silver is a bit of a lottery, which I have also read on a topic on this forum. I'm thinking therefore to get them done in 2 pack. Any ideas on the silver. I have seen a table somewhere that says that the silver for an SFC frame is RAL9006

I use RAL 2006 White Aluminium on frames and wheels. Close match to original.

You're absolutely right, Andy, but then you knew that!!

Laverda orange comes in many hues and RAL2010 is but one that's somewhere near to a match... but certainly not exact.
Redditch Shotblasting http://www.redditchshotblasting.co.uk/ do an excellent powdercoat match for Laverda silver - they'll warn you about the poor quality wheel castings and likely blowholes tho'!  Tell 'em I sent you and they'll double the price  :D - turnaround is usually 7-10 days.

750SFC frames were plated, not painted so no paint will ever match.
