I am in the middle of a full engine rebuild of a 1977 Slater Jota, and have a large parts list which was intended for Motalia. Are there any other suppliers in the Uk, or shall I wait for the new owner to relocate the stock and open again ( this is the plan according to their website)..

Ralph at Motalia has been in the trade for decades and is a very helpful chap, manufacturing and stocking a wide range of Laverda parts, with a prompt and efficient mail order service.
He also has a tongue-in-cheek reputation for stating that the item that you're enquiring about is 'the last one in the world', hence it can be priced accordingly.
No complaints on my part.

Many UK owners also source their parts from non-UK suppliers including OCT and Laverda Paradies in Germany, Wolfgang Haerter in Canada, Redax and DAM in Australia, etc. These suppliers are frequently more cost effective, even when import duty is applied.
It often pays to split your purchasing across various suppliers.

Hi, tried to email you having copied & pasted your address from this post, but it was returned as Failed Delivery ??
 
I have an iinet email address as well, Chris and on occasion I get 'failure to send' messages. Seems to have become worse since The Messaging Company took over and iinet dumped us for email. I haven't been able to work out why it happens with somer and not others. Bloody annoying though.
 
I use iinet as my internet provider and been a customer for 20 years. When they ditched their email service to the messenger company meaning I'd have to pay for emails I just canned that iinet address and started using my hotmail address as my primary email.
iinet have just upped my monthly charge so now thinking it's time to look elsewhere. Main reason for staying with them was my primary email address but that's no longer the case. NBN in my area is pretty shitty, no fibre optics in my town so we all have a wireless connection from a tower on a hill. As I'm surrounded by trees my signal is just. Both my neighbors don't have signal so rely on satellite for connections which have restrictions on downloads. Seems Startlink is the way to go but Elon Musk is a dodgy cunt and I won;t be supporting him.

We have similar issues in NZ with the smaller rural services getting edged out by Starlink. We were without internet for a week during a recent weather event as the power was out and the backup power for the towers did not last long. The problem is that once dodgy has the bulk of the remote market he will jack prices and dictate the quantity and quality of service.
 
Similar situation here AJ.
Walpole is the end of the line re power.
Any hint of a storm and we loose power. Have a genset but once the batteries at the tower run flat after a couple of hours no more internet.
Same as the mobile phone network.
No phones after a few hours.
The pluses of living remote far outlays the negatives.

34 emails came through to it yesterday from various Suppliers, Customer etc.
So nothing wrong at this end.
I'm No computer expert but try typing the address in by hand rather than copy and paste ?
