I recently bought an RGS which has had a complete mechanical rebuild but it has an old Moto Witt (blue box w/ dip switches). I've been trying to get the bike to run better, especially down low. Initially I assumed carburation to be the culprit but the carbs are clean and jetting seems appropriate. I've started to suspect the chosen advance curve in the box as the bike will pull very strong once the revs in the mid-range. I got a Witt manual but it is for a later version with a selector wheel. Mine has 4 dip switches. It is currently set with the first switch (1) on/up and the others (2,3,4) down/off. I assume this represents a certain curve but I have no way of knowing.
My bike is a stock '83 RGS with the exception of Jota pistons and one of Wolfgang's Germand made exhausts. Can anyone here please help with sourcing a manual for this old Witt. Also, a recommendation for the appropriate setting for my bike would be very helpful. I'm primarily looking for smooth linear power delivery.
THANKS !!! Steve
