What ho.
Just sorting out new mounting points for dyna coils. Quick question, do they need to be rubber mounted or can you mount them solidly to the frame? Cheers

Best to mount them in an aluminium heat sink (plate) - can be rubber mounted or not - depends how bad your motor vibes  :D :D - Regards - Phil

HEAT SINK, what the fuck is one of them?????? I've got a kitchen sink and a bathroom sink and i think either of them is gonna look out of place, never mind the weight issue.

I take it you are using the 3 ohm green Dyna Coils or are you using the 3 ohm Dyna mini coils?
there is no need to mount either of the Dyna coil types using rubber mounts or a heat sink
what stage is your frame at again ?
you can clean up the head stock area and just weld a couple of mounting straps across the frame tubes as shown, or get Keith to do it next time your frame is up there

you haven't painted it yet have you ?
if so you can fashion some mounts out of a piece of alloy angle, have some photo's of that system as well if you need them

Red, thanks for the info and pics. i'm using the not so miniature coils as i prefer the look of them, strange really as you won't be able to see them but I'll know whats there. That whole bit of the frame that was in your pic will be in plain view and don't want to mount anything there.

Do something different. Mount them on the headlight like Mickey Mouse ears

:D One each side of the helmet, like Mickey Mouse ears.

That way if you fall of it'll:
1: Automatically kill the engine.
2: Rip your bloody head off.
