mounting engine

Got engine 17580 on 15538 frame. Now 17580 was rebuilt. It is Sf 2 w/ lesser head off of 8787. Very clean engine on the inside before rebuild. But now has Ross pistons & rings. Fits Ok w/ lesser head but the last mount to be screwed on (upper bottom left NOT the top studs) was not centered. As we wrestled in position I saw engine mount upper bottom left was not lining up flush to the eyehole on frame. Tightened all other nuts & bolts. Was better but still engine mount hole & frame eyehole were not flush. Hammered in Ok. Did not strip threads. Also the top thinner mounting stud was loose before tightening. All #s except head are the same in manual.
Ok will it seat on better after it is fired up? I can loosen & retighten. Or did I commit an irreparable wrong using Sf 2 bottom half? Did not want to widen the frame hole...

SF2 cases are the same foundry parts as the 1972 engine.

Those frames can distort around the lower engine mounts and the engine mounts themselves can ovalise if left loose, frame or case mounts.

Mounting points are the same on ALL Breganze Laverda 750 engines, no matter how much you mix'n'match.

If they don't line up with your frame, the frame can be bent/twisted, or perhaps badly repaired after a mount has broken off.  This happens quite often when loose mounting bolts are simply ignored over a longer period... "it vibrates a little worse than last year, but it'll be OK".

If the head or cylinder have been seriously skimmed, it can prove troublesome to insert the mounting studs through both cam cover and frame lugs.

Ok thanks. I worry about these things. I'll try loosening & then retightening in sequence of several rounds about like head torque. May balance it out before firing it up

When I got my frame #2698 all of the engine mounting holes were oval, the battery box was bent and broken, same for tool tray and the right side frame tube above the battery looked like HIGHLY corrosive acid was wiped on the frame. Had all of that fixed by my welder.
