Hello, in the last few weeks I've been busy moving my workshop/garage and therefore not much in our forum. It's not all set up yet. Tomorrow the twelve motorcycles will be moved and then the move will be complete. Here are a few photos of my new workshop, still without motorcycles. Ciao, Gert

I’m in the process of moving too, but the new place is nowhere near as smart as your place Gert!
However, at least I can see it from my house and won’t have to drive for 20+ minutes to get there.

Hi Gert
That's a real nice space you got there! You must be very happy with that.
Do I see it correctly that you're using LED panels for the illumination? If so what are the specs and what is your experience so far. (I have a nice big space myself but the illumination sucks and I urgently need to do something....)

Nice clean space. Looks like 2 basement rooms, but I can't see a garage door. Do the bikes come in via that blue scissor lift next to the steps?
Yes, going in and out with the bikes is only possible via the blue scissor lift next to the steps. Not easy to find a place for 12 bikes near the center of Vienna. Ciao, Gert

Hi Gert,
Still in the same Vienna district as your old place? new place is looking good(y)

Regards Gerald

I was in my old workshop for about 23 years. The house was sold and the buyer, a real estate company, had to find a solution for me - I had a non-cancellable lease. The new workshop was bought by the real estate company, renovated and equipped with a lifting table. It's very close to my apartment. Ciao, Gert
wow thats a unicorn deal right there!

I think London and New York have similar long term protected tenant laws. You see it mentioned on TV and in films sometimes but not so much lately

In contrast to Australia! Not much fun being a tenant here. My sister in law lost her husband to a very sudden heart attack last year. Within two months the owners of the house they were renting decided to sell and threw her and her two kids out with virtually no notice - but had to give her more time after local lawyers offered to help her fight the bastards.

Then after she left this dump they tried to say she'd damaged the house and wouldn't repay her bond, but to add malice to it they said she'd have to pay extra - the place was pristine for the dump it had always been and was always destined to be demolished after the sale anyway. So now she has to go to the Admin Appeals Tribunal to fight them. Absolute c....s.
