Museum opening 23/4 July - who’s going?

July 23-24.

I already have the Milano-Taranto on the agenda, it would be a mad dash back down a fortnight later, with the current fuel prices, not a cheap thrill... :(

But, not much logical reasoning involved in biking anyway, so, who knows? ;)

I’m seriously considering a trip over but, if I do make it, it will be a ‘flying’ visit as I have quite a few other commitments around that date.

Will give it a miss and visit later when all the fuss is over.
I plan to ride down in 2023, then Milano Taranto in 2024 or 2025 for my 70th.
God willing.

So it appears at this stage that I’ll be the only Aussie in the village 😂😂

I am seriously considering the trip. It is on the same weekend as the French F1 GP with the Hungary GP the following weekend so it could be awkward for me to take the time off if any bodywork changes are planned with "my" car, Aston Martin F1. Will be last minute before being able to commit to.

I plan to spend a full day or three taking tracings and high res. photos of all the original factory graphics as applied to the museum bikes is somewhat of a "bus man's" holiday! Intention being to then re-create the original artwork to be able to replicate the original decals/stickers and paint liveries, vinyl striping. I would of course take Pantone an vinyl colour matches swatches with me ...

9 hours of tracing, scanning and art working time is what I have billed our client for the Subaru Brat cut vinyl livery. He now has exclusive rights to sell the complete graphics kit, that did not previously exist, worldwide. He will cover his costs, I will obliviously be making the future kits, and further invoicing to design & write a comprehensive fitting instructions leaflet...
