music in the shed

So there I was, last night watching Rachel’s breasts … oh I mean Friends, and who should be on there? Chris Isaacs. While not a huge fan, I do enjoy some of his commercial music.

One of many new wave / indie pop singles from the late `seventies , when everyone and his brother were recording tracks and releasing them on small labels through their local record shops ..... Favourite label name ... ? ... Record Records was alright , along with No Good Records ......

Now to Manchester .... The Albertos were supposed to be a parody of the New Wave / Punk scene , a bit like a `seventies version of The Baron Knights , but they were pretty good in their own stead anyway ....... The second track , " Gobbing on Life " has one of the best intros of all time of anything .......

" I don`t like animals , or lifting heavy weights .... " ; ... " Living is a cliche , it`s all been done before ... " ..... they don`t write lyrics like that anymore ........

Killing Joke... now you have some of the era fine band, Paul Raven i liked a lot, ditto JJ Burnel, Dave Greenfield on keys, superb.

Tony, where is my rock and roll..... cue BRMC..... grin j.

Jon .... saw the BRMC live , along with Andrew WK ; The Coral ; and The Lostprophets , back in 2002 ......... Can`t remember much about The Lostprophets , except the notorious Ian Watkins seemed to know or recognise a lot people in the crowd ....... I guess a lot of their fans made the trip across the bridge from South Wales ....... We really went to see Andrew WK , who was quite good .........

Andrew WK, had the look of Pete Steel from Type O Negative ( a fav of mine, not all songs, notables Cinnamon Girl and I wanna be me...)
