music in the shed

I once sold packaging, had to go into one of my new customers. Was taken out to the back room and there was literally walls of vhs players whirring away, making copies of pornos.
Local guy used to disguise porno vids by labelling them as football matches- this way he could guarantee his wife wouldn’t find his stash.
Our favourite was Dortmund Vs Hamburg …

Legend! Emanuella a star, all of the band really. Would value your assessment Steve, a few words....j
Well, I’m no expert on technique. However it was their usual quality performance. Covers and their own stuff. A mix of rockabilly, phsycobilly, punk and country ( check out ‘Reno’on YouTube ). The lead guitarist Duncan James is fantastic, and is from good old Shropshire. The venues they play at are always very intimate and old school, sweaty, smelly with sticky floors. Emanuella closed the set with a great version of ‘Be My Baby’ by The Ronettes. The Zipheads were very good banging out several punky rockabilly numbers to start the night. They are touring soon in the UK and doing some more HME support. I would say that they do come up against some criticism in some quarters as they are not ‘pure rockabilly’. You may know that certain elements in the rockabilly, rock and roll world are very picky to say the least !

Too kind Steve, appreciate your typing time and on the spot observances. On the spot you is something that i not available out here for the most part. Take "Down On your knees" omitted? Akin to Tull homage to "Hunting Girl" and yes i have themes ( a ( my ) gal pal is a retired domi ). Love the theatrics, the pain... not for me, a grin here.

Still will try my luck again with a Rockabilly band, becoming almost a place too far. Will Check the Zipheads. Have a look at Gypsy Pistoleros if not already aware, out there fun.... as you may condescend ( Jane Austin meaning, not the inverted modern hijack ) j.

Two French music producers got together to form Cassius ........ one of them died a few years ago when he fell from a building ...... so no more from them , by the look of it ........

I always thought this came out in the late `nineties / early ` noughties .......... but it seems it was sometime around 2010 , apparently ...... I guess the `phone gives it away ........

Used as a musical track to accompany the 2024 Paris Olympics ....... can`t say I remember hearing it though , but then that`s just me .........

...... and just in case you thought Johnny Hallyday was the last true French rock and roller ...... here`s Little Bob and his mates to prove you wrong ..........

Well known here in the UK ...... not appreciated quite so much in their native France .

Johnny Thunders / Ron Wood / Stiv Bators lookalike blues harp player is actually Mickey , or Marc .... depending who you believe ........ last seen some years ago pushing shopping trollies for a French supermarket , according to some .......... whether that`s true or not ........ who knows ? ............

.... and here`s Brian again ....... fresh from leaving The Damned back in 1978 ....... with his next band , Tanz der Youth ........

Band name an adaption of a musical adaption of a 1967 Roman Polanski film " Dance Of The Vampires " ........

NIce handclaps ,,,,,,,,,

..... and finally .......... If you`re worried about how world events are shaping up at the moment ....... you could always take refuge in the desert together with a few like minded followers ......... wait for the apocalypse to blow over ........ then emerge and create a brand new world order fit for a better tomorrow .......... Or on second thoughts , maybe not such a good idea after all ..........

Roger Chapman not available, so Steve Grogan takes on the vocals instead ........

Not quite in the shed, but on the drive back from helping a Mate who'd had gearbox issues on his SF2. Sweetly, it was down to a loose eccentric on the gearshift. Always nice when the cause turns out to be what you had figured.
Anyway, back to the music, this came on, in the car on the drive back and, thinking of Jon, the bass, while not virtuoso, was definitely in the driving seat.
So I thought I'd share.
