This pit bike is one of 200 made after Phil Read asked the MV factory to make him one for his son. They made 200. This particular bike has 10" wheels and is completely original. The engine has done very little work and is in pristine appearance. The bike did spend over 30 years in a wardrobe until a few years ago. It will have another MV listed with it soon for sale. That will be an America. Price is $13K AUD.

Six thousand Pounds and up at auction for a Yamaha 50cc moped !! Absolutely nothing to
think a mass produced entry level stinkwheel is that valuable to anybody...ever,no matter
how sentimental they may be. That is the translation. The Honda 400/Four is another bike
the English loved from it's 1975 inception. Here in N. America they gathered cobwebs on the
sales floor.
 
I had a '76 400/4 in 1982 as a run about/commuter and I loved it. Some Koni's and TT100's and that 10.500
redline...FLOG ME MERCILESSLY !! The beauty of riding a small bike at full chat and getting away with it versus
a heavy high powered licence loser on the street. As typical about a lot of models that had big build-up and hype
before they were available is that when the 400 was on dealer showrooms all it attracted were the armchair magazine
reader brigade.
