Need help on the John Wilson IIS TA180 plug wiring colours

I am finally getting around to rebuilding my laverda with the help of a swiss laverda racer after a failed start on my own quite a few years ago, engine is in the frame and now I am starting on the electrics, about 10+ years ago I bought a new unused and complete John Wilson IIS TA180 system from the UK and I thought I had all the parts however after a few moves I am missing the white plug that is left off so that the wires can be thread through the casing. I have seen some photos in the installation guide but the resolution is no great and there are 5 wires but 6 connectors so I am not sure which should not be connected. I believe the original plug had the cable colours marked but as I no longer have that does anyone know the correct sequence - I have found the correct replacement white plug but now I am stuck on the order - so if anyone knows it would save me a lot of dismantling and time looking at the board to work out which is which - thanks in advance

There, you'll find 3 docs to download - the TA 180 kit.pdf shows a rear view of the connector on p1 - "180 stator rear view"

Thanks - thats a help but I have the early magnet edition and unfortunately the colours don't match - as its a 180 though I guess the missing wire is where cyl3. is in the diagram

Yes early indeed, ignore the diagram you have for the Molex KK connector, have a photograph of the latest colour and connection sequence on file, be back with it when i retrieve it from old hard drives here. j

Had to regenerate the connection colour position, know there is a proper photograph of encoder and cable assembly, eludes me at this time. See if these photos assist, let me know if not. You have the latest iis encoder harness ( made it myself from wire and plastic sleeve. Obviously the Yellow wire may not be in your harness, and is left unconnected on the Molex KK header.

BTW you cannot destroy or damage the encoder with a miswire, on test position E you will see the sequence in the display 1 c 2 as you rotate the crankshaft in normal direction ( clockwise as you look at the encoder/crankshaft ) L and R cylinders, TDC and middle cylinder. If that sequence is not correct there is a colour wire miswire or connection on the header, should not be a problem with these photos. Lets see how you go. j.

It's best when you drop off the bike and John fits it himself. Especially with my zero green smoke knowledge. It would scare me to guess how long ago that was.

Agreed must be the best after sales service in the world John thanks for taking the time I appreciate it - sadly droppng the bike off is a bit impractical , I don't think I will be able to test it until April though as leaving for a two week motocycle adventure trip to India next week and also the motogadget mo.unit has not arrived yet.
