Neutral switch

Well, it turns out that though it figures on their website, 3C moto doesn't have the neutral switch.
I'm all the more grateful to my friend Eric who found one in his left over parts.
That'll be one happy wife.

Neutral was impossible to find on her 500. After having discovered that the eccentric behind the clutch wasn't tightened, to no avail, it could only be the neutral switch shimming without going into the cases.
I took it out and there were no shims so a likely source of the problem. We now have an easy to find neutral but the switch itself has died on us during the manipulations to get the nut off it. It looks like some idiot had glued it on.

Used, serviceable Zane ones, from Alan Bell for any others in this predicament, (my manufacturer sadly for me retired).Other quotes were just too costly.

Glue is available from Paul 😊

I had to grind the nut into 3 pieces so as to be able to peel it off. Of course, the wire had to be cut to get the switch out.

I think that the heat generated by the grinding killed the switch.
