New Dellorto slides

I am not sure if anyone has experienced this but I have recently bought a new set of slides for my 32mm Dells, upon sliding them down the barrell of the carby I noticed that the two little ramps on the inside of the base of the new slides are touching the raised section on the base inside the carby body and will not let the slide travel all the way to the bottom of the barrell in the carb body.
It appears as though these two side ramps in the new slides are quite a bit thicker than the ones in the original slides and the only solution is to remove this excess material, something I am not that keen to do since I paid good money for brand new slides,
has anyone else experienced this and have another solution?
Thanks,
M.

Wolfgang explained  this problem to me when i bought some from him a few years ago now...and so he machined them before sending. :D I think that is how they come these days. if your source  knew their stuff, you might have hoped they would have mentioned, eh? >:(

Hi, Maurice.

You have no choice. These are the only ones Dellorto produces today. The carb design was changed
some time in the past and they fit only the newer carbs without modification.

There was a thread recently, where someone had posted a photo of an older and a newer slide,
but can't find it.

Maurice,

5 minutes in the lathe does the trick.

As Ernesto states, these are the only ones avaialable today.  Has to do with the revised throttle stop design, not that we need it in the triples anyway...

All lovely if you have a dremel..or a lathe knocking about :D
Surprised you weren't told and offered them adapted to fit in the first place, as you should have been....
