New Ignishun!

Ah, like the ones on my Sachse that I changed for Hall effect to avoid possible oil contamination...well, actual at one point. ;)
 
I ran a Piranha electronic ignition with optical pick up for 19 years without a problem on my 750/4.
If there is an oil leak on the alternator crank seal then it's easy to spot and an easy fix.
And doesn't happen very often anyway in my experience.
 
Well it grounded me on a motorway hundreds of miles from home, on way back from Baskers one year, requiring recovery etc. Dunno about often, once is enough...hence change.
 
Seems you have had an inordinate amount of problems with that bike, eh?
 
Im still running the optical trigger on my sasche ignition with no problems,ok if you keep the oil on the inside of your engine  :-*

Same here with my DMC2, Neale. It's a simple piece of kit that's worked fine for me for 15 years (not wishing to tempt fate, of course....)

I am also following the strategy to keep the oil inside the engine.
No probs with Sachse and optical triggers.  :D
