New Library facility

It's been a long time coming, but we now have a Library facility where you can download owners guides, workshop manuals; other 'how to' documents plus improvements.

I've populated it with stuff I rescued from the old MSN days plus some docs I had collected. Dellortoman has kindly added material he had available. If you have something that's missing then please feel free to add it. If you find the upload process too complicated, then email it to admin {at} laverdaforum.com. Please do not upload any copyrighted material.

The Library landing page configuration is not what I'd have chosen, but it's an add-on to the existing forum software so dead easy to set up and administer. The key to navigation is the 'Categories' box on the left. These are the headings under which you'll find the content. Click on a category name to open its content list. Where a category has sub-menus (shown by a down arrowhead) then click on that to expand and select the sub-category you want.

Alternatively you can just use the search facility.

I've tried to make the Categories list both meaningful but reasonably concise. If you reckon I've missed something - or can think of a better way to categorise content - then do let me know. Sorry about the chunky upload date after every document - I want to shrink the font or make it disappear but without success so far!

The library is a great addition to the forum.(y)

Downloading and opening of files is easy.

In the directory itself, however, I can neither see a file nor a preview.
That would help in choosing the information you want and save wrong/unnecessary downloads.

What am I doing wrong?
Is that a PIFOS bug? ((problem in front of screen?))

Thanks for clarification from Thomas aus LAU

Unfortunately there is no file preview facility. There is a 'tag' line under the document title that provides extra info.

The overview box that opens once you have selected an item (but before hitting the download button) can be used to explain in more detail what the item is and the information it contains, but I hoped the title & tag line is sufficient?

Definitely some useful info in there. It is easy to upload resources yourself. There is now an article on Motodd's that I wrote some time ago for the ILOC LVV mag.
