new member...soon to be jota owner

Just joined the forum after putting a deposit down on a 1977 silver Jota, after owning a Jota and selling it about 10 years ago i had been hankering for another and i've finally bit the bullet.
I bought my first Jota, a 1978 red non standard one, from Italia moto in Lincoln in 2005, kept it for 5 years and then reluctantly had to sell it ...just before their prices hit the roof!, and i have always promised myself that when funds permit i would get another, i saw the one that i've just put the deposit down on and i go to view it in a couple of weeks time.
Will post some pics when it arrives and i look forward to being a forum member.

Went to view the Jota this morning and I'm pretty pleased as it is exactly as described, front wheel had a donk in it which is being sorted, hence mismatched temporary gold front wheel, started it up and it sounded healthy ,just had a new battery and carbs cleaned/balanced...should be with me in a coupla weeks, looking forward to rekindling the fire.

Yes I was an iloc member at the time and I've just rejoined, always regretted getting shut of my old bike but needs were pressing back then, currently waiting for registration activation for the iloc forum too.

That's the problem with shiny bikes. They turn the attention away from the essential things, and hike the prices up.

The bike is still running the original CDI ignition system and because i intend it to be a rider and not a just garage queen i've been in touch with Keith at Laverda Scozia and will hopefully be getting a new ignitech system fitted in due course...
