Hi, the Haider framed 1200 is one of two racebikes of my friend Horst. On the racetrack I take care of this bike since years.
Some facts about the Haider-Laverda:
These deltabox-steel-frames were designed by Peter Haider and Walter Pruenner in 1983. The bikes were produced in two batches, one near Vienna, one in Upper-Austria. All together about 10 frames (with box section swing-arms) were welded. The tank was placed under the seat. Monocoques and fairings were build by hand. Forks, brakes and wheels came from different motorcycles and were often updated. Exhaust systems were individually made, often using the 45mm Sulzbacher downpipes. The engines were Sulzbacher-tuned 1172 ccm, 36-Dellortos, with always more than 100 PS on the rear. Weight was about 180 kg raceready.
Haider-Laverdas also known as Pruenner-Laverdas were mainly raced in national events and were very successfull in the open class (raced by Walter Pruenner, Martin Wurm, Horst Scheuer).
Today there are only 2 bikes left in Austria. The others are in Germany, Belgium, Italy and USA.

There was one Haider/ Pruenner to sale in Germany some mounth ago from Dirk Schauer who sold Laverda spare parts 20 years ago. The bike was not so expensive. If anyone has interest I would like to find the contact to Dirk.
