Today I Got my new parts from the casting Company , now I Will mashine the parts, so where are ready for use.

How did you solve the fact that with a 1:1 sand-cast impression the cooled cast part becomes approx. 10% smaller?
I had tried to make the master parts to be poured "thicker" with spray filler.
That worked quite well with the exhaust rings. A foundry that casts housings for MAN submarine engines cast me the rings from a special aluminum free of charge. The material cannot be drilled with normal drills.....

That was bloody nice of them Thomas!! Is the alloy super hard? Why won't a normal high speed steel drill bit work on them?

It is an extremely hard, tough and yet light aluminum. It sounds bright like a bell when you knock on it. I had to use drills that are normally used for V2A steel.
I had told him that the original rings can break. When I picked it up, he told me that the part could be made even more durable with a special heat treatment. When I looked a bit doubtful, he said with a somewhat sneaky laugh, "Boys, try it out first." He knew I would be surprised when I drilled the holes.

My mold is 1,5% bigger, casting is not new for my, I make the mold in A 3D printer. ( see picture.)
