Im getting ready for new tires and looking for recommendations, been years since i bought tires.

Thanks

I used to visit the major tyre manufacturers' website to see what they made and most importantly if there latests and greatest were made in suitable sizes for 2.15 front rims and 2.5 and 3.0 rear rims. Then, it can be hard to buy what's made. Bridgestone makes a radial rear T32 sports touring tyre in a 140 that can be used on a 3.0 rear rim, but it took me a year to get some delivered to Australia. What you want and what you can get are 2 differant things.

I just bought and installed a set of Michelin Road Classics on my SFC 1000 - these are what Michelin is now selling on the US market in the appropriate sizes. They get good reviews but are expensive. The rear 130/80-18 seems to me slightly small for the size, but this works well with the center stand (rear wheel is not dragging) and I think it’s similar to what was fitted when new. Oversized tires are rarely a good thing for handling.

When I can ride the bike, I’ll post my impressions.
