Next weeks break down!

Just going through my Morini that’s been stood for a few years, found this little gem under the tank. All the coloured outer insulation has either shrunk with age or it was assembled like that, no signs of heat damage. Only appears to be female side of this block connector- some of them were crossed over & touching🙄 I also found the gearbox sprocket was ever so slightly lose- it showed up when I had the cover off and was cleaning the chain. All these things happen when the bikes parked up in the garage and no one’s looking…

They were always had a rats nest of wiring those Morinis. Fortunately it looked worse than it actually was back when they were new. I had a couple of Ducati Elettronica ignition units fail on my 500 and the bike would only run on one cylinder. This happened twice in Europe loaded up with luggage, once in Toulouse and once in Cuneo. It was easier to camp and wait for North Leicester Motorcycles to send the parts than find them in France. In Italy I ended up at the shop of tuning ace Luigi Fridegotto after a very kind Italian guy phoned around to find spares.
