Nice little addition seen yesterday

What holds it into the thread?
Too easy - fit a section of M12 thread with an M5 or M6 thread in the centre - Roberto è il tuo zio - if you wanna get funky, use M12 alu for the thread insert. Or do what I did and cut them off

Actually made good use of that old LH footpeg threaded hole on a buildas a mounting point for the frame end of the brake torque arm.

Mine, nothing fancy, in fact a guy who to my shame I cannot recall, posted them to me years ago telling me they would tidy things up😁

Hello all, I'm the bikes' owner. I thought, given the interest I'd remove one of the plugs to see how they are fitted.
Piranha is bang on. A piece of All-Thread or a modified bolt has been used as an insert, and a suitable thread cut for the securing screw.
The end has been slotted so it can be screwed in and nipped up.
The cap has no identifying marks. They may be leftovers from a fitting kit for something, or most likely have been made from scratch.
Hope the photos are of use to someone. Regards, Steve.
P.S. Had a great time at Willersey yesterday. Wonderful, broad selection of totally sublime Laverdas, and spoke to many interesting people. Including yer man Sidney. 👍
