I'd give Buells a thumbs up. About 10 years ago I looked into them and took a ride ... unfortunately a tad small for anyone with long legs. Aside from that, a decent ride!

You'll regret selling it later, a Harley Davidson that actually handles with loads of attitude , what's not to like-take a deep breath Ian?????

At first it is a very different experience being perched on top of it when compared to other bikes. I am over 6 foot tall and only just get my feet flat on the ground.

I can't disagree with what you have said and I am sure that I will regret selling it. Sadly it has not had the use that it deserves whilst in my ownership. I am not going to pay for the road tax as I will then use it and change my mind. It is on car and Classic at a slightly higher price, maybe that will put people off and I will be stuck with it!

I sold my Ducati because its riding position didn't suit an old Crotch {me}, it just isn't at home on a lot of the roads locally. It wants to go🏹 which is fine as long as you're not on some of the higher narrow roads of the Northern Pennines. When I sold it there was nothing that inspired me as a replacement , I thought about an Africa but it's tall and heavy, I thought about a Tiger 800 but thought the engine a tad buzzy-IMO:unsure:. So what I'm saying is " what could you replace a Buell with and still have the same grin factor"??
As it turned out a Transalp XL650 came up and it had it all-hard luggage-comfort, and the whole set up is just great if you like riding the bumpy tarmac fell roads around here. It's turned out to be one of the best bikes I've ever had, you're not going to set the road alight but it's a bike that 'does what it says on the tin'. it would never have the grin factor of a Buell, so have I convinced you to keep it yet??

Had a ride on a mate's Buell a couple of years ago; felt as if I sitting on top of it instead of in it and grabbing the front wheel axle. It was fun to ride, the 1200 cc V twin engine combined with a decent frame worked well.
My mate has owned it for quite a few years now and apart from a few niggles it has proved to be reliable.

Still available. Price reduced to £5K. I found a few other bits and pieces so I have updated the description.
