NSW SES teams have been out responding to more than 400 incidents and 39+ flood rescues in Sydney this evening due to flash flooding.
Intense rainfall started impacting the city about 6pm, with more than 104mm falling in 3 hours in some suburbs.
Commuters were caught in flash flooding in Fairfield, Milperra, Villawood, Strathfield, Wolli Creek and Auburn, requiring rescue from our dedicated teams on the ground.
NSW SES are urging people to stay indoors, follow the advice of emergency services and steer clear of floodwater.
