Ok weird one for the 180' type tacho drive outlet spigot gubbins thingy. I was thinking of a threaded end cap its an m12 very fine maybe 1mm pitch not sure but does anyone know what fits on it to blank it off... I could make a flat blank plate, but thought I might see if there is an end cap too.... just wondered if any one had found something that has converted to a leccy tacho???? or just me again.....

Andy...

all the normal questions have been asked before......

Remove the innards and make a flat plate, prevents things going wrong with things that aren't needed... saves a tiny bit of drag as well. :D  Thread is a bit strange, was under the impression it might be an imperial thread as it is the same as used on Smiths instruments.  Even my old chronometrics on the Matchy have the same threads.

Yes I think I will. I have taken the worm wheel etc. out so I could just make a blind gasket I suppose to stop it pissing out oil. I thought someone might know a cap off something else that went straight on. Or I will make a little diamond shaped blank.....

If you use a condom for this, you'll get a nice wear indicator. You can be pretty much shure that your piston rings are stuffed when a balloon appears on top of your cam cover. :D

I recently had the speedo cables made up and got all the part numbers and spec from the supplier (Conwire in Sydney) the speedo drive at the wheel is imperial. ( smiths gauges ) and the top end was metric ND gauge cluster

Nothing is ever simple
