NWMC - Northwest Motorcycle Classic & Expo

Can you believe it? After a two-year hiatus, the NWMC is returning to Lynden Washington tomorrow Saturday, April 23rd!
With the US-Canada border restrictions loosening, hopefully the event will see lower mainland BC neighbors able to attend. Classic and vintage motorcycle events have been pretty thin on the ground here in Northwest Washington, lower mainland BC since Todd Copen’s Tsawwassen, and later Cloverdale, events didn’t materialize…’would like to see that happen again as well!
Maybe see you at the Lynden fairgrounds. I’ll be wearing my Laverda cap!

Yup, I’ll be at the event Saturday in Lynden. I’ll ride my Norton, as that is the featured make this year. This will be the only event like this in 2022 close to metro Vancouver , the Cloverdale event will return in 2023, and, the big event in Chiliwack is gone forever.

Didn’t see a Laverda cap!!

Lovely day, smiles everywhere. Heck even the border guards were super nice!! Good to gatherings of like minded enthusiasts again.

‘Sure was nice to peruse all manner of moto obsessiveness in the company of ungrumpy folk. Great time indeed!
Todd Copen was there and confirmed the Cloverdale event is a-go next year! Yay!
There were unfortunately no Laverdas in attendance…however, two SF owners (an SF1 in active restoration and a seized SF2 in long slumber) were present. Even R. Slater made an appearance for a few hours. ‘Had a great visit.
Summary: So much fellowship, so much wisdom, so little time…
These are treasured times to be sure.

Sort of completely different show format. Non profit volunteer format club of enthusiasts versus professionally run for profit extravaganza. Strong enthusiasm because it’s really the first gathering of its type in 2 1/2 years in the PNW.
