Can anyone tell me where I could buy the correct size oil cooler hose (second generation 1000cc with fiitings)
Everyone I have tried (in Australia) tells me its an imperial size hose that they cannot source.
All I want to do is reuse the hose ends (fittings)

Gates 5/16" / 8mm universal oil and fuel hose, should be available from any larger auto parts stockist. I can get you a part no. tomorrow.

I get mine done by the local aircraft hose supplier at the airfield. Most American aircraft use the same hose. You might find a maintenance operation somewher like Essendon in Melbourne that can make up hoses, using your old fittings. Best get them re-plated first.

I'd suggest a visit to a shop that sells hydraulic hose Maurice.
When I changed mine, took one into my local farm industrial tool shop.
They stated it was exactly the same as hydraulic hose they stocked.
Looked exactly the same, bought some, cut it to length and all fittings fitted, looks perfect.

Yes Industrial Aircraft Hydraulic for gas lines and that includes the Manifold Balancer ;o)

The Manifold Equalizing Hose tends to Shred and Collapse with anything less.

You don't have to see what's going on in your tubes as long as it lasts years after year!

Other then being a Thick and Bulky Hi-Pressure Expensive Hose = Well worth the price of trouble free experiences years later .

I Drilled and Tapped my 70 Breganzie 750 SF0 for an Oil Cooler but never implemented it because it was not important to approach 8000 rpm with a Twin. Ended up putting Pressure gauge in the taps and it never went up about 5 Psi, thus ensuring OIL was Flowing.

Gates 3225 series. Available in 4, 5, 6, 8, 10mm ID. The 8mm fits the Laverda oil fittings perfectly, the specified burst pressure is plenty for the low-pressure Laverda lube system. 6mm is fine for the 750 inlet stub balance, 4mm fits the triples nicely. It's also soft and pliable, so that it can be neatly routed along the frame tubes. Hydraulic hose with its extreme burst pressure is usually quite stiff and difficult to work with.

I've been using the Gates hose for several years without issues.

sfcpiet: I am Partial to Gate's products - Used them for years and Satisfied!

However as a Canadian I can't compete to the USA prices !
