No upgrade to filtration possible.
There's the big mesh "filter" but also centrifugal cleaning of the oil in the crank.

Only remedy is to change oil at shortish intervals which should lead you to avoid expensive stuff. ( and clean the crank out every 300 000 km )

Paul is correct, majority of the oil filtration is carried out by the oil slingers on the crank webs

We machine our own CNC Version of the sump plate with magnetic sump plug for the 500 and 750 engines but in reality it does not achieve that much as the magnetic sump plug is situated inside of the strainer itself so does not capture that much debris, especially if the engine has a major failure

Hi Paul,
just checking, is that 300,000 km? (186,000miles),that really reinforces the well deserved reputation for longevity!
and just out of curiosity, does anyone know (approximately) what’s the highest mileage laverda 750 twin still in use?
regards,
marty.

There's one out there, the owner claims to have more than 400 000 km on the original bottom end.

400,000 km! wow that’s about 248,000 miles! Very impressive…
Will of course depend upon whether the oil slingers are full or not.
When they're full, "bang" is on the way.
So regular oil changes and no untoward event sending bits of swarf all over the place.
