I have no idea if it works or how well, but this is derivative of absolutely nothing! Single speed, not CVT, hybrid electric 250cc boxer twin with 50 to 60 ft lbs of torque.

I posted it for the unusual tech, not the styling! It could be a look into the sort of hybrid system that will power bikes for the next 25 years until battery technology advances enough to build lightweight electric bikes. If the ICE falls by the wayside for new machines, people will not give up on riding two wheels. This could be what propels them.

I’m curious to read a road test of a electric assisted single speed bike in the real world!
 
What I don’t understand is why most electric bike offerings have such awful styling when it’s just not necessary. I agree about the interesting technology, having owned both hybrid and fully electric cars, so I have no issues with adopting the same technology for bikes.

That’s easy- Wasn’t it Edward Turner that said a motorcycle should have an attractive engine & Petrol tank, E bikes has neither.
There’s also no passion, no effeminate Italian designer, no heritage, no sound. Sound counts for a lot, imagine a shotgun with no bang, no smoke, no heat. I won’t be adopting electric technology, so bollocks! 😂
 
Interesting conversation on the radio about e vehicles in the US.

An Aussie business suppling e bike, scooter and car spare parts is doing a booming trade to the US, because spares from China have such a high tariffs it makes them unquestionably too expensive.

He likened the shortage in the US like “All the cars in New York without any petrol ”
 
Final comment: none of this hybrid technology is meant for anyone over the age of 60! The whole point and the focus of the styling and marketing is to appeal to those in their teens, 20’s and 30’s. The future of motorcycling, not its aging past. Of course the look of cycles intended to attract a young buyer is unappealing to their grandfathers, just like the clothes, music and general culture of the “kids today”. Is anyone surprised that this is so?

We need Hybrid Ev/Gas in Northern Canada - Screw American Stallantis EV's and make a deal with China's BYD to build factories in Canada ;o)
