It's Barry Roberts, ILOC #288, who was a member of the Royal Signals White Helmets Display Team, at Catterick, N. Yorks.

He ended his life in Qld in aus, never got to meet him but his family contacted us and there was about 10 Lav’s at his funeral, sounded like a character

A real nice down to earth talented chap.

I vaguely remember him doing a lap of the Scarborough circuit (backwards) on this bike (aprox 74ish), I was marshalling at the time.

Yes Cosi, Barry was a real character, good mate of Barry Sheene who encouraged him to come to Oz to retire for the warmth on the 'old bones'. Entertained CLQ meetings a couple of times with some some fine stories.. not sure if true, but he asserted that backward picture was during a complete lap of IOM.. lovely bloke, good mate to all.
