My Laverdaitis struck again and I purchased an Atlas. First Impressions are good, but it didn't run cleanly and needed some attention. I did manage around 6 miles on our local forest tracks and the issue apart in handled very well with low fuel load and at gentle pace. I think this could become a daily ride when the carburetion is sorted. I have two issues I like help with:

I need to replace the float valve, as it leaks fuel, but I can't find the correct DHLA 40 model number. Can anyone help please?

The inlet manifolds look in good condition and have been silicone wrapped around the outside, which may or may not hide cracks. I believe someone may have done Atlas owners a great service and produced CNC inlet stubs ? My search has produced the name of Stefan Huber but I can find no contacts for him or anyone else manufacturing replacements can anyone help please?

Enjoy your bike wherever you may be.

Regards Benbecula

Maybe, it will be interesting to see as there a car carby. I have found no identifier other than DHLA 40. The other letters you sometimes see are later emission-type carbs, maybe. Sadly the CNC inlets are not being made anymore. Good luck working on the carb, I have just been in mine. It wasn't as challenging as I expected. BTW there is a small access panel at the top of the carb to get at the jets easily for cleaning them.

Hi Some workshop time produced DHLA40B. Inlet jet stamped 350/ Paddy is a great support to us , But he doesn't stock DHLA parts. He directed me to Eurocarb Ltd who do. I've ordered new floats, valve and jet and a new gasket

The inlet manifold remains a problem to be solved.

Regards, Benbecula.

I will speak to my viking chums when I visit Norway in a couple of weeks time. One of them has set up a new company that may be able to produce copies.

I have had at least 2 owners ask me about these manifolds. With mine fitted and Malcomes exhaust so no leaks forward or aft I don't have any starting to running issues, so far.

Hi, I have found a company who may be able to scan and 3D print sets of inlet stubs. They are experienced in producing this type of part. Using a composite type material. The material will withstand the heat from the cylinder and have a small amount of flex to isolate the carb.

I'll keep you posted on progress. If anyone is interested we could have several printed and may be a few held in stock by ILOC ?

It’s good to hear you’ve had some success in locating a potential supplier of replacements. I wouldn’t put any money on ILOC stocking any. You would be better contacting the usual suspects that supply parts for Laverdas. May be Ducati Paddy would consider it.
