Original colour

Your best chance is to rub down the paintwork on the underside of the tank. Few bother to take that back to the metal.
It may not be the original tank, though.
 
Do what Marx,Robin and Sock says but keep in mind early Breganzies came in all scantly painted colors, Paint wasn't really their thing (Really the original factory paint was so thin you could see through the paint to the metal on the tank with whatever paint the factory sprayed on it.) - I choose 1970 Corvette Flame Red to mimic an Italian Ferrari Red and imply I wasn't a racists hoping that a blind old man like me would see her coming before we collided ;o)

Beware RED Paint is EXPENSIVE.

I believe the original paint on my 70 Breganzie 750 SFO was puke Yellow Lime Green - YUK !

Paint it any color you want except for Pumpkin Orange ;o)

I kinda like BRG on a Breganzie.

Gave the bike a clean and had the tank and seat off, there is a patch of Italian flag green under the outer paint so can only assume that is the original colour if the bike has the original tank.
Still might try Mr Slater.

If you can find the original colour on a panel or the underside of the tank, most big bodyshops with mixing equipment in the UK and around the globe will have a photospectrometer from this you can get a bang on match to old paint. A cruder bit of kit is used in DIY shops for house paint as you will have seen.
If you find your way around the back of a bodyshop or through the front door the guys would no doubt match for free for you and for a few pounds ;-) and let you have half a ltr.
Years ago we hand tinted and or did sprayouts to get the colour as close as we could as mm's were notorious for being lose with colour batches one Ford factory gold had 17 variants :oops: . Today you mix and blend across ajacent panels as most are metalics. These bits of kit are around £2.5k at cost.
Just for interest - To secure supply to a big bodyshop its quite normal for a paint manufacturer to gift a full mixing setup fully loaded with tinters, the ps and and at times a huge upfront payment and 70% plus discount off paint through the distributor - why? over supply to the market.
