Orlandi fuel tap flow

I have to admit I'm not good technically so please excuse me if this seems like a daft question.
I've just had to drain the tank on my 78 1200 Mirage & I noticed the fuel flow from the (Orlandi type) taps differs hugely. The filters are clear so it's not a blockage.
Is it possible to strip these taps down & have a look inside them please?
I'd like to see if they are repairable before I spend £150 on 2 new ones!!!!
Thanks
Geoff

I believe there are viton seals for the square taps available somewhere,, otherwise Geoff I sell PAIRS of new Italian made ones with a longer reserve pipe and filter for £68 plus post £5.99 Ist class signed for. Many venerable members on here have purchased them . I have new stock in this week. See pic

Or you need to count.
£ 150 a pair of taps?
Near enough - see below, 2 taps at £68 each plus £5.99 postage, by my calculation that's £140.99. Don't you just love these exotic Italian classics?????

Thanks. I'll have a go at seeing if I can get these working properly first. If not I'll be back in touch & order new ones (or, with a bit of luck, one!)

That's for the pair.
They're very ordinary taps, nothing exotic or classic.
Now steak and kydney pud or spotted dick, that's exotic. Or a BSA Bantam.

Compare the two, as there were different versions, some flowed more than others. The 1200 should have had Paioli taps which had bigger diameter internals than some of the (mostly brass) Orlandis.
They are easy to open and the rubber inside can be replaced.

I thought the Orlandis (as came with my SF1) were all alu? Or were they Paiolis?! Can't check - stuck in iso

I have the 1200 fuel taps on mine and they were also not that good regarding flow-rate, especially not at WOT, where the (then) PHM40 consumed A LOT... I simply took them appart and drilled each channel up a bit, which improved the flow drastically. Nevertheless, on the Keihin Carbs with just one fuel connector (Topham at that time thought that would be enough...), I burned a valve on the inlet of Cylinder 3 due to running out of fuel at WOT (Carbs 1 & 2 consumed so much that not enough fuel got to carb 3...).
I ended up mounting a low pressure fuel pump and smaller float valve seats. No more issue ever since, not even on the racectrack of SPA

I've fitted double T-joints into the fuel tube linking my two FCRs - but an SF/C will never guzzle the way a triple will ... tipple ;)
