Out and About on your Laverda. No bull,Just photos

And yes the weather and the racing was shit hot today. Loads of twins and a fair few triples on the track, but sadly no Laverdas. Perhaps I should try and get an entry next year.
A couple of incidents today, one on the first lap of the junior consolation race and the other on the last lap of the lightweight consolation race, both a case of over enthusiastic attempts at overtaking/outbraking. The bikes got a bit damaged but both riders were okay.
Finn, Ernie Kostamo also had a lucky escape, braking a bit too late and mounting the pavement at the corner and just avoided running into the air fencing. Obviously, he just shrugged it off, turned around and carried on as though nothing had happened.👌

Nice write up and pics, Lothar! Haven't looked into a Oldtimer Praxis or parent magazine Oldtimer Markt in years.

Sure, why not! Considering that the magazine article is actually something new and not repeated (aufgewärmte Suppe)....

BTW: planning to come to Bauschheim in August???

Hands up whom here have actually ridden a HD

I rode a mates Evo FXDSHIT Softail about 15 years ago …… based on that ‘frightening experience’ riding a HD never appealed to me again. The concept of riding a motorbike that wallowed in any situation (other than standing still), didn’t stop and didn’t propel itself faster than a Honda CT110 against a headwind seemed an odd pastime.

However, I took a customised 2023 Breakout for a quick ride a few months ago. Game changer.

I never thought I’d say it, but I could be tempted…… and that statement is proof that old age does strange things to you.

Last winter I refubished for my mate Kurt his xv535 AME chopper, which he had not used the last 25 years. It was not too much work, just the rusty tank needed more time.
When I made a test ride I noticed that it is not easy to go straight at low speed, first hundrsd neters were entertaining 😂IMG_9047.jpeg
