Outlet Hole Size.

I have a set of Stainless mufflers I bought years ago from Eades in Sydney that I thought are Jota style. I don't think there is much inside them at all. I just noticed a pic of another bike with what appears to have much bigger outlets in its mufflers. Mine are 30mm in Diamiter. Do these exit holes vary in size? I have seen a few bikes with the same typical shape but much shorter mufflers as well. Where do they come from?
 
No, Staintune had a very distinctive shape and mine look very Laverda-like, from what I was told years ago when I tried to buy some Staintunes they stopped making Laverda Mufflers and collectors because they had cracking issues. Mine look very typically Laverda-like. There pretty lightly built and not really loud. As I said bought them from Eades. I have a set of Reds big bore headers and a flat type big collector that I am very happy with but suddenly I have muffler hole envy, I would prefer no louder but maybe my 30mm diameter hole is restrictive to performance. Curious as to other muffler hole sizes out there and how loud the ones with a bigger hole are.
 
Went down to Mittagong around 1990 to buy some mufflers for my RGS and they told me that they wouldn't make 'Jota' pipes because cracked due to resonance. Explained that I didn't want overly loud pipes so they made me up a pair and they remain unmarked, unstained and uncracked for over thirty years now.
 
For the RGS Corsa racing model, Laverda prescribed drilling four M8 holes in the end plate of the exhaust, as well as two 40mm holes on the bottom of the airbox. My Guzzi T3 Polizia had the same treatment to the silencers, which I can describe as making it fruity without being anti-social.
