paint code

Tried the search function without finding an answer so sorry if it has been done elsewhere but I am looking for a paint code for the factory gold colour on the Jota (don't remember the year off hand) or even the closest match available from modern cars / motorcycles. Having a spare tank and side panels done for my SF1 and like this colour.
Regards
Tyrone.

Ty, you'll find some good advice here http://www.laverdamania.net/paint.htm
but I'm also sure that Grant's recent 750 resurrection was painted in a very nice bronze/gold too - have a search for the thread, but hopefully he'll be along soon to confirm.

HTH,
Alan  :)

I colour matched my gold Jota restoration from an original never-see-the-light-of-day sidepanel.
The painter matched it, and then when I got the 750 done recently he used the same recipe.
Trying to get these recipes from painters is a big problem.

I can get the bodywork painted for you, but I can't tell you the paint code (cos I don't know it).
I have had quite a few sets of bodywork done for folk in the UK and US by my painter.
Let me know if I can help.

Very helpful ..... but I wish there were some photo's to go along with it as I think my 3C should be cobalt blue ..... but I'm not 100% sure .....

Has the SFC orange selection ever been decided? Only 4 choices on that link. I remember back in the 1980's that Chevy Hugger orange was a suitable match. Seems to be even more to choose from there ..... http://paintref.com/cgi-bin/colorcodedisplay.cgi?color=Hugger%20Orange

Thanks everyone for the help and offers of help, although I called with the guy who paints my stuff today I did not have anything decent for him to match against, hence the hope of getting a code. He will match panels etc but as he says it is difficult to get a good match from a photo because of light etc. If anyone knows of or has used a close match from current car or motorcycle manufacturers I would be happy to go off that. Again, thank you all for your help. Much appreciated 😊.

I can happily vouch for the quality of paintwork from Grant's painter - my silver Jota was done by him and it's luvverly!  8)

I had my CBX repainted silver in Italy a few months back, held my breath as again there's no 'official' colour recipe, came back looking stunning. Think the most important thing is to use a good shop run by a guy willing to do the necessary research.
