You guys are scaring me. I have to go out and hang my washing on the clothes line little while. I'd better take an EPIRB, mobile phone, wear a hard hat and hi-vis vest. I'll also let someone know where I'm going and give an ETA for my return.
I have a couple of EPIRBs on my boat. One in the boat and the other packed with the life raft. A couple of years after I bought them, they changed the operating frequency from 121.5 MHz to 406 MHz, pretty much rendering them worthless, so I had to replace them.
