I think you can find them chrome or stainless, with or without lock and key.
And all for a few bob.

Of course living in the UK is a distinct disadvantage, unless you run a BSA Bantam ( and even then, parts likely come from India)

There are suppliers of ditch pump spares, some of which are the same on various Laverdas, in the UK, including filler caps.
