hi at all,
does anyone know the carb setting of the 36 PHB dellortos of the early sfc?s.
i mean needles, jets etc.

According to Andy Wagner's catalogue:
Slider          50/1
Pilot jet      50-60
Main jet      160-180
Needle jet    265 AB
Needle        K2/K1
Needle pos.  middle/ top groove
Start jet      70
Air screw    1,5 +/- 0,25 turns out
Floater height 18mm

You see, very vague figures, setting
seem to be quite "individual".

Well Ernesto, that doesn't seem very vague to me apart from main jet which just depends on what exhaust you're using, more or less restrictive. Camshaft dependent as well I imagine.

Yes, Paul.
You're right on that.
After all, he states these figures for 74-77.
During this time they had different setups
and even a new designed head, so no
wonder about the wide range of jets etc.

okay, the first sfc?s have had amals.
i am asking for the "next generation" with the dellorto 36 phb.
thanks ernesto for some information.
the answer they had amals is just nearly right but as a matter of fact wrong.

Yes, not all early SFCs had Amals but if you insist on asking totaly vague questions, you get totaly vague answers.

Needle K2
Needle jet 265
Slide 50/1
main jet 170 to 180 depending on wether you use the restrictive 2/2 or free  2/1 megaphone.
Pilot 50

That is what my Electronica with a 5C cam has been running, road and track for over twenty years, 180 mains with megaphone.

Paul
Needle 2nd notch
Float 18 mm

So - in reality - use the std SF setup and change the main jet and maybe the idle jet too - all my tuned ones have that setup or thereabouts. - Regards - Phil
