Aviation fails....the global black market in inferior quality engine and airframe parts. I hope this
event cannot be traced to counterfeit parts. Jim,I'm assuming you're flying within short distance
of me and making a difference. Thanks.

Doing the usual out in the Chilcotin. Stretched thin on resources as the rest of the province has bigger problems and gets priority.

Indications on the failed part is possibly a hardening treatment was not done or done incorrectly. Metal pin that holds the rotor blades on failed ..... sheared clean and shed the blade. Hope it was instantaneous for the pilot.

You'd be lucky to survive that sort of failure even if the helicopter was on the ground when it happened.
