True re CR, Clem. A true measurement (and making sure the volume of the chamber is ADDED to the swept volume) before calculating will yield an accurate result. My SF1 came out at around 8.5:1 from memory.
 
My Electronica doesn't pink on supermarket petrol.
It does however need to run on NGK B8s whereas it ran fine on B9s in days of yore.
