piston to bore clearance Ross pistons for Laverda Montjuic

would anybody know the piston to bore clearance for the montjuic. I purchased Ross pistons and they seem to be about .5mm wider than the cylinder. The 500 workshop manual stated that .140mm is the max persmissible piston to bore clearance. However it does not state what the desired clearance is. Also I am new to this deep technical stuff and am trying to have the correct terminology for the machine shop - is the value you supply the sum of the clearance at each side of the piston or the clearance at one side?

Rob, if you only knew how many searches I have carried out you would feel sorry for me. I don't think I was putting in the right search strings.

Paul, the bore is 71mm and the new pistons are 72.5 I will specify a piston to bore clearance of 0.065-0.070mm to the machine shop - I will be supplying them with the new pistons and the cylinder
