Plugs for in town usage?

a 76 180 Jota with 4c cams and my plugs are continually fouling.  My carbs are balanced, using the colortune plug insert the mixture burn looks correct.

I'm starting to think my problem is my day to day riding pattern.  As the island is only 4 miles long and 2 wide, with a maximum 30 mph speed limit (and crawling in law enforcement).  Most of my usual trips are short low speed trips that barely get the bike warmed up.  (some day I shall take the bike back to Europe - daydreaming of roads with bends, hills and nice tarmac but I digress...)

I'm currently using the ngk b8es plugs.  Would it help to put in something a little hotter for in town use - and then swap them out for longer trips?  Or is it a case that it's just always going to happen - and I really need to use the good ladies vespa instead?  :(

You don't need a Laverda triple, you want a Honda Super Cub! :D :D

If you remember to change them out before you run it hard you could probably use B6's safely. You don't say if you has the stock ign. or not,but the orig. system being self generating it doesn't put out a really hot spark at low revs. That along with the 4C cams greater overlap contribute to an uneven mixture at low revs. If you haven't already try running the plug gap at about .020" to ease the load on the ign. at low revs.
Or you could upgrade the syst. with a Witt or the Reds/Sacshe setup.

Failing that, A12 cams, flat pistons and Champion N4s/NGK7s would be enough to blow a Super Cub in the weeds and still cover the 4 miles in style. :D

What fuel are you using and are you using any sort of additive?

93 octane and no additives.  Probably a fair percentage of ethanol too.

And it is also running the DMC ignition on curve 2.
