Points and other sf2 parts

I just acquired a 1974 SF2. I owned a American Eagle 650 many years ago but generally ride Nortons and Velo's and a V-7 Sport guzzi. One of the first parts I will need is a set of points for the Laverda. I sanded them, but they are very hammered. I couldn't find a source on line. If anybody has any ideas I would appreciate it.. I am in Cedar Crest New Mexico. Brian Thanks

Hello Brian,
AFAIK automotive Bosch points had been used. Try to find Bosch part # 1 237 013 013/014.

[Laverda SF]

You can modify Volkswagen Beetle points to fit early SF's and SFC's - I recommend Echlin Blue Flame - Streaks whatever ;o)

You can either knock out the post on the SF Distributor plate or drill the post out on the points - I chose to keep the SF Distributor plate original and drilled out the post in the points - Works great ;o)

Simply removing the post on the distributor plate would be a simpler solution as you don't have to modify anything when purchasing Beetle Points.

Isn't (New) Mexico famous for their Beetles ?
