Has Solvol Autosol fallen out of favour?

Not with me.  I have Belgium, Brasso, and other brands, but tend to prefer Autosol.  They have a good marine version that I have used as well.

Yep , Autosol for me. I give the cases a good clean with metho then polish with Autosol and finally a coat of car polish.

its good stuff for sure Marnix, I won some at a Dutch rally a few years ago in the famous LCN tombola (which I think no longer happens)
and used it and loved it, but found it hard to buy in UK, so on recommendation of the polisher that I use, I now keep the shine with "Brasso" wadding (was at one time called Duraglit)

I found when running my SF1 that Solvol Autosol polished up the Borrani rims a beut, but after a year (from new) I had rusty spoke ends because I had inadvertently polished off the plating, while getting the rim flanges up to brill.

I've always wondered what the coating is on Lav spokes - looks like paint to me, but happy to be totally wrong.

Been told it's Italian cad plating. They look like paint to me too.
