Pops, Bangs, Farts

Well, we got half a story and no then follow up from the OP.
We are still trying to solve an issue that maybe has been sorted by now, or if we get the full story it would be easier to diagnose more accurately.
Until then we speculate and get deeper into it.

Sorry guys, just had some minor surgery and haven't been able to continue any fault-finding. All suggestions you have made are very welcome and make practical sense.

No Cosi/Andy, the won't be a ground up resto!!

Grant, will try and give more info on when the problem occurs. Luckily it plays up when under no load as well as under load so I can work on the various suggestions you have all made in my workshop and hopefully come up with a simple solution.

Once again thanks for all your inputs.

Cheers,

GrantB

My RGA does this, too. It kind of always has. I haven't tuned the carbs after putting them in straight out of the box from Wolfgang, 'cause I'm shopping for a new exhaust. If my problem goes away I'll tell you what kind of pipe I'm smoking I installed.

I really like the fuse gremlin idea. Those things just aren't right.

check the fuel filters in the the tanak (the ones on the petcocks), then run the bike with the cap open if you can (not too much fuel iside I hope) to check that air can get into the tank freely, which is every bit as important as the fuel getting out.

does this "under power" misfirehappen all the time, regardles of if you have a full tank or a nearly empty one, and is it wide open throttle or part throttle etc
