correct , Chris78Jota, its a very low mileage Corsa, engine never opened, bought by me about 14 years ago having been very lightly crashed (broken headlight, indicator and mirror) I have every single piece that is not in the picture,

the other is a 13,000 kilometre 668 Zane (Kevlar) and its motor is a chain drive F800S BMW (Rotax) much more torque at much lower RPM  63ft/lbs @ 5000rpm versus 44ft/lbs at 7250rpm and 87BHP @ 8000rpm versus 65BHP @ 7800rpm. If you look carefully at the frame and swing arm propped up in front of the Corsa you can see where it has been modified to take the engine, which does fit, albeit a tiny mod also needed to the thermostat housing on the engine.I also have every single part of the Zane except its motor and front exhaust pipes that now reside in the IOM with the skinny underfed Manx Jessikat.

I am getting on with many things having spent two years taking a blood pressure pill that worked well enough but made me feel shit, cause heart palpitations, lack energy, and put on weight, not taken it for 4 months, blood pressure up, everything else really good, I expect the medics will eventually get me a pill that works without side effects (already and still taking Lercanidipine) but they seem very slow to re-act after spending two years full on looking for the cancer that they never found. Still at least every avenue of me has had the once over, so not all bad.

Beemer motor in the Zane looks very interesting Clem - get cracking so you can report back on the results! Hope they can sort your meds - pain the arse coping with dodgy side effects.

That's a fascinating mix Clem, when you sort it perhaps you should offer kits for all the poor souls whose original motors choose to go bang. I'm led to believe the chassis are brilliant.

Vivid memories of riding Chris B's Corsa after I recommissioned it for him - what a rocketship the Corsas are.

ps Glad you've survived the best efforts of the sons of the BMA (to misquote Spike Milligan)

Great projects Clem, I've a Corsa waiting in the shed as well..

Re the Zan? bike, since the chassis is excellent and they are built up with quality components, I've toyed with the idea to create an all electric version..

Hi,

That?s a very interesting project Zane Clem, I?ve 2 Zane chassis and V5 sat here in the garage, unfortunately no front forks, engine....got bodywork, wheel, cans, so nearly a Zane!

I?ll be watching with interest!
