Hi all, a friend of mine is restoring LAVERDA 1000 *1178* and is missing the complete headlight support. No chance to find it. So we are looking for a 38mm version to adapt it to the 35mm forks. Can anybody confirm that the fork shrouds (headlight bracket support) of the 1000 drummer are the same length as on the 750 GTL?
1.) 1000 drum + Ceriani 35mm = 158mm
2.) 1000 disc + Ceriani 35mm = 147mm
3.) 1000 disc + Ceriani 38mm = 143 mm
4.) 1000/1200 + Marzocchi 38mm = 165mm
5.) 750 GTL + Ceriani 35mm = 158
6.) 750 GTL + Ceriani 38mm = ???
Ciao, Gert

Anybody out there with a 750 GTL to measure??? Ciao, Gert
Yes, you are lucky as I'm briefly in UK where my 1974 750GTL lives.
It has 35mm Ceriani forks with the last series SF front drum with parallel brake lever arms.
I measure 157mm but that is on the bike with a rule, not a caliper so could be +/- a bit.
Perhaps the same length as your "1000 drum + Ceriani 35mm = 158mm" since there are also metal and rubber spacer rings top and bottom.

I went out the garage to check the length on my 35mm twin disc 3C and mine measured at 147mm. Who knows what’s correct?

Thank you Tom! A 1000 with 35mm Ceriani fork is a rare beast. I like it very much!
Can any other owner of a 3C with 38mm Ceriani fork confirm the length of 143mm?
Ciao, Gert

143mm measured with a rule, on my "74 pre oil cooler big headlamp 3C 1580 Gert.
